Spindle Well Barn, renovated in 2018/2019 to provide cosy accommodation, with a warming wood burner and wooden floors it makes the perfect retreat for couples, with footpaths from the door into the spectacular surrounding countryside. Set within the Northumberland National Park, the cottage sits in the grounds of the owner’s 650-acre working farm, making this a picturesque and tranquil setting with walking opportunities in abundance. Elsdon is a peaceful village with a friendly local pub serving good food, set near Otterburn, which has two famed wedding venues and a friendly pub/restaurant.

Spindle Well Barn is located in the heart of the Northumberland Dark Sky Park, perfect for star gazing, and is in easy reach of Kielder Forest which houses the renowned observatory. Head over to the picturesque and unspoilt Northumberland Heritage Coast with miles of unspoilt beaches, historic castles and quaint fishing villages. The rugged moorland and hills, the pretty coastal villages and historic city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne are all close by, only 30 miles away, perfect for theatres, shopping, culture, and music.
