Extra Amenities

Marine Cottage is a stone built mid terraced property very close to the green that leads to the sea in the welcoming fishing port of Amble. This cosy property is well presented and convenient to the many facilities on offer in this friendly town. It’s also only a few footsteps from a local Co-op, a very good fish and chip shop and an ice cream parlour. The small beach with rocky outcrops with views towards the RSPB reserve Coquet Island, where puffins and grey seals are regularly seen is only a gentle stroll from the Marine Cottage. Enjoy a wander around the harbour; less than 200 yards from Marine Cottage. Amble is known locally as ’the friendliest port’ and is where fishing and boat trips to Coquet Island and the Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuary and seal colony, can be arranged
Marine Cottage, as featured on the TV programme ’homes under the hammer’, provides an excellent base to explore the 20 miles of this magnificent stretch of Heritage coastline, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
