Well located on a quiet part of this friendly country park and golf retreat with plenty of wildlife and walks from the door.
The elegant and homely interior has been carefully chosen by the owners to provide comfort and a relaxing atmosphere throughout the bright and airy living space. With a large raised deck area with furniture for relaxing and admiring the view, this is a charming lodge for that special break away. The on-site bar in the golf club is popular to chat to others and make new friends. The coffee shop and snack bar are at reception with travelling food and drink vans on different days. The village itself has a nice café and a small social club with events.
Located close to the A1 so travelling around this beautiful county is easy no matter which direction you head.
Alnwick Castle and Gardens is just a few miles where you can discover the fabulous castle which has been used in scenes for Harry Potter and Downton Abbey; the Duke and Duchess still reside there. Discover the cobbled streets and shops, cafés and bars with something for all the family. Travel further north onto Berwick on Tweed on the edge of the Border with Scotland steeped in history with a magnificent bridge and old town walls. Inland, you have easy access over to the Cheviots, and Kielder Forest in the Northumberland National Park.
The roads to the nearest beaches are easy to access, nothing is far away so travelling around is a pleasure. You shouldn’t miss a trip to Holy Island - Lindisfarne steeped in history and reached by a causeway (check times) a lovely drive and a step back in time. Bamburgh Castle is set on the cliff in Bamburgh Village a pretty village winning many awards for photographers as it is so pretty. Craster is a lovely little place famed for the kippers and the stunning walk along the top to Dunstanburgh Castle
