Within the area walking, cycling, golf and horse riding are all popular activities and at the end of the day, a relaxing meal and a drink or two can be enjoyed in the excellent restaurants, pubs and cafes close by.

Arnside is the perfect base to explore its surrounding areas of the South lakes and Yorkshire Dales. Hop on the train to Grange-over-Sands, a charming, Victorian, seaside town, with a range of shops and cafés. Visit the village of Cartmel, known as the foodie capital of the South Lakes and famous for its sticky toffee pudding. Driving will take you just 30 minutes into Windermere and Bowness, and over to the famous Ingleton waterfalls in the Yorkshire Dales. Beach 350 yards.
