Beckett Lodge (ref UK34233) is brand new in 2021, and offers great quality accommodation combined with charm and character. The open plan kitchen and living room is the perfect space to relax in after a busy day exploring with windows overlooking the fields behind and woodland to the front. Upstairs, the spacious kingsize bedroom and shower room have been beautifully designed so you can indulge in lazy mornings in bed. Bentley Cottage (ref UK34243) is beautifully presented and is a home away from home for couples, families and friends to enjoy. Set across three floors, each room benefits from views out over the fields and woodland.
The Pendle district of Lancashire is famed for its connections to the Pendle Witches, and there are plenty of ways to immerse yourself in the fascinating history behind it including; the spooky gift shop Witches Galore based in Newchurch, the Pendle Heritage Centre in Barrowford and Pendle Sculpture trail.
The Pendle Way walking route runs right past the properties offering plenty of scenic walks from your doorstep. Taking you past the famous ’lairs’ of the Pendle Witches, as well as Wycoller, site of the ’Spectral Horseman’ famed for it’s Bronte connections. For the energetic, take a hike up to the top of Pendle Hill where you will be rewarded with spectacular 360 views of the valley below. If you prefer a more gentle stroll enjoy exploring the surrounding woodland, waterfalls, reservoirs, moors and green grass fields with plenty of local country pubs dotted along the way.
Cyclists will love the winding country lanes that run through the surrounding Pendle villages full of colourful history and nearby Gisburn Forest is a mecca for thrill seekers with an abundance of off road trails, and even a downhill biking jump course.
Barrowford is a 5-minute drive away with a fantastic selection of trendy boutiques, wine bars, restaurants and cafés plus an award winning local supermarket where you can buy fresh local produce. The market town of Clitheroe is also within easy reach, offering lots of great pubs, bars and restaurants as well as its Norman castle standing proud in the centre. Haworth, well known as Bronte country is an excellent day out, where you can walk in the footsteps of Heathcliff, potter around the cobbled streets or take a ride on the steam trains that run through it. The Forest of Bowland, Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, is just on the doorstep with it’s pretty villages and welcoming country pubs while the Yorkshire Dales can also be reached in under an hour with some of the most scenic landscapes in the country.
