Great care has been taken with the accommodation and it offers many interesting features including slate floors, and the beamed ceilings and wonderful wood burner all add to the character of The Barracks, making it well worth a visit whatever the time of year.
While Haweswater and Ullswater are a short drive from the cottage, the list of places you can explore and visit from here are endless, with the Eden valley and the Scottish Borders are all within easy driving distance. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
