Dinner is served in this light, airy room, then you can watch Sky TV while enjoying your favourite tipple.

A large window lets the outdoors in, and high ceilings add a sense of space. The kitchen has a brand-new (2022) shaker style kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal. Outside, Methera has its own flagged veranda with outdoor seating. Stone outbuildings are provided for guests’ use and are ideal for storing bikes/mountain gear or kennels for pets. The cottage also has a private parking space.
The lovely market town of Ulverston is within a 10-minute drive, its cobbled streets are lined with a great selection independent shops, pubs cafés and restaurants. The home town of the Stan Laurel, half of the famous comedy duo Laurel and Hardy celebrates his birth with The Laurel and Hardy Museum and ‘Another fine fest’, one of the many festivals and events available in the town throughout the year.

The beautiful South Lakes area offers a wide selection of breath-taking walks and cycle routes or for the less energetic amongst you there is something for everyone from Michelin starred restaurants, to steam trains, lake cruises, wildlife parks, stately homes, horse racing or even escape rooms. You are spoilt for choice and there’s something for everyone.
