This superb semi-detached cottage can be found just over half a mile from the centre of Disley, which is best known as the home to the National Trusts magnificent Lyme Park.
Completely renovated throughout in 2022 the property benefits from beautiful views over the surrounding countryside, and also has lovely gardens to the rear. Being less than a mile from the Peak District National Park on the border of Cheshire and Derbyshire means the location is perfect for lovers of the great outdoors, with ample wonderful walks and cycle trails literally on the doorstep.
Disley itself is a thriving village with a range of amenities including pubs, restaurants and a train station that can be reached in around a 15-minute walk. Disley Station offers a direct service to both Manchester and Buxton in just 30 minutes meaning the hustle and bustle of city life can be combined with the peace and tranquillity of the countryside.
Neighbouring New Mills can be reached in around a 10-minute drive and is home to the Torrs Riverside Park and Millennium Walkway, which is a much-admired bridge set deep into the gorge.
Buxton is just 20 minutes and most famous for its therapeutic spring water, Pavilion Gardens and of course Opera House. Also, just 20 minutes is the beautiful honeypot village of Castleton, wonderful Edale which is the start/end of the Pennine Way and Hayfield from where you can hike to the highest point in the Peak District, Kinder Scout.
