Lawned front garden with sitting-out area, garden furniture and BBQ. 2 hot tubs (one at Butterfly Cottage and one by the riverside rear garden). Private parking for 11 cars. No smoking. Please note: Riverside Cottage has a natural water supply from a borehole and there is a beck and steps in the grounds.

Low Jock Scar Country Estate is made up of four separate properties within the same complex, including two hot tubs; offering group accommodation in a unique way for up to 18 guests. Lily Cottage sleeps 2 and is next to the main house Riverside Cottage. Riverside Cottage will become the hub of your group activities with a large conservatory seating your whole group for dining, this sleeps 8 and has a fantastic garden with hot tub and a beautiful beck running by the side of the garden. Butterfly Cottage sleeps 6 and Tulip sleeps 2, the unique dynamic of being able to vacation together but have your own space is widely popular and a great way to holiday!
The four cottages have a shared garden and BBQ dining area just by the beck.

They are set in 6½-acres of land, including woodland to explore at your leisure. With the changing seasons the woodland creates an ever-changing environment to be enjoyed. The bluebells create a carpet of blue in late Spring while the glorious colours of Autumn leaves are hard to beat. Guests will be delighted to spot that the grounds are often frequented by a wide variety of birds and wildlife including woodpecker, deer and hares.
Located in the ‘Gateway to The Lakes’ Low Jock Scar provides an ideal base for guests who are looking to explore. Whilst it may be difficult to drag yourselves away from this perfect spot, both The Lakes and Dales are easily accessible.

Head east to Sedbergh, Dent and Hawes or west to Windermere and Bowness. Equally within easy reach for a day out are the Northern Lakes with Ullswater and Haweswater less than an hour’s drive. For guests looking to stay local, walks and cycle routes for all abilities can be found. Just a few miles away, the town of Kendal offers something for everyone.
