This traditional Lakeland slate cottage is in a fantastic location only seconds from the centre of Windermere in the very heart of the Lake District. Renovated to a 4 star standard the cottage is tucked away down a side street, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Walking in this area is excellent, whether you opt for a gentle circular lakeside stroll or an energetic hike up the fells, all of which can be accessed right from your door. On an evening or chill out day why not try out the numerous cafés, bars, restaurants and small independent shops as well as the excellent supermarket. Windermere is well served by public transport, the train station being a short walk from the house and numerous bus services providing excellent access to the rest of southern Lakeland. The big advantage over other similar properties in the area is the good size yard surrounded by slate walls which provides a private outdoor seating area.
