Bedroom 1: With double bed and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet.

First Floor:
Open plan living space.
Living area: With 30" Freeview TV and DVD player.
Dining area.
Kitchen area: With double electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
Drying room. . Second Floor:
Bedroom 2: With zip and link twin beds (can be super kingsize on request).
Bathroom: With shower over bath, and toilet.

Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included.

Small garden with deck area and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car; additional private car park. No smoking. Please note: There are 10 steps in the garden. Fireworks, barbecues and Chinese lanterns are not allowed in the garden due to livestock in the local area.

Extra Amenities

Woodside Cottage is part of an imaginative barn conversion within the well-maintained grounds of Merewood Lodge. It is located between Windermere and Ambleside, two of the most sought after and desirable places in the Lake District. Just a couple of miles either way will get you to the sights of these two beautiful places, and there is a bus stop just at the bottom of the road so there isn’t even any need to take the car. There is private parking available for one car, as well as additional parking for another in the visitors’ car park.

On entering the property you will find a bright hallway with somewhere to hang your coat, and an elegantly furnished double bedroom, complete with en-suite facilities and ample storage space. Ascending the stairs brings you to a light and airy open plan living space.

There is a raised sitting area with a comfortable three-piece suite, ottoman, TV, DVD player and music centre so you can sit and enjoy each other’s company. There is a comprehensively equipped kitchen and dining area with an induction hob, double oven and grill, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge/freezer. Off the kitchen there is a separate drying and storage area. Up on the second floor you will find another spacious bedroom which can be configured with twin beds or a super kingsize. This room has the same magnificent view over Windermere as the living room. Also on this floor is a family bathroom. To the rear of the property is a garden and decked area where you can sit and look over the rooftops to Windermere and the fells in the distance.



The lane at the side of the property gives you access to some of the most enchanting walks and cycle paths in the area, you will be spoilt for choice. Five minutes’ walk takes you to the Lake District Visitor Centre, which provides a wide range of activities including water sports, tree top trek, adventure playground and boat and bike hire. There is a café and restaurant overlooking the gardens and lake. Cruising boats on the lake call at the jetty. The nearby bustling towns of Windermere, Ambleside and Bowness have many shops, restaurants and pubs, and offer more attractions such as The World of Beatrix Potter. Beach 17 miles.
