If you want to stay local, the beautiful Brook Bay is a 2-minute drive away and the sunsets on this side of the island are a must see, just stunning.
Osborne House was once Queen Victoria’s favourite residence and is now open to the public and well worth a visit, as are Carisbrook Castle, The Needles rock formations, Robin Hill park with acres of parkland, natural woodland, countryside gardens, adventures and special events, Ventnor Botanical Gardens and Shanklin Chine, a deep wooded gorge with streams and waterfalls.

The model village at Godshill is also not to be missed as this gives a good overview of the island and its attractions, all in miniature of course.
