The village boasts a bakery, Indian restaurant/takeaway, central store, newsagent/sweet shop. Wingham Wildlife Park is located around a 5 minute drive from the property.
Alternatively there are some great locations nearby, Canterbury 12 miles with it’s medieval walled city awe inspiring cathedral, punting tours on the river, working up an appetite to indulge in the "spoilt for choice" array of restaurants. Don’t miss out on the famous Oysters at Whitstable, 19 miles it’s fisherman’s huts, art galleries and individual shops.

The quaint Cinque port town of Sandwich 5 miles offers a wide variety of individual shops and a good choice of pubs, bars and restaurants many overlooking the picturesque quay. As near as 9 miles are seaside towns of Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate with golden sandy beaches providing endless days of fun for all the family. Last but not least, Dover 15 miles with it’s historic castle and ferries across the channel. Not forgetting it’s neighbour Folkestone and the channel tunnel 45 minutes to France.
