Welcome to Ferndale, a three-bedroom bungalow sleeping six in the beautiful village of New Milton in the New Forest. Ideal for everyone, the living/dining area is open plan, great for socialising in. The garden is gorgeous, a lovely retreat to sit and relax and admire the stunning roses, you can enjoy al fresco dining or a morning coffee whilst the dog and children play.
New Milton is a market town with the New Forest on one side and Barton-on-Sea on the other. The town has a bustling local community, where vintage shops meet independent shops, and there is a choice of restaurants, café and bars to choose from. The war Memorial Recreation Ground is in the centre of the town, together with play parks and plenty of seating. Nature lovers should visit Ballad Lake, ideal for walking and for little ones to feed the ducks, you can hire bikes from the town to explore the area.

If you like horse riding, a nearby stable will allow you to take a pony out into the New Forest.
The nearest beach is Barton-on-Sea just over 2 miles away, when you are on the beach you may find remnants of fossils, there are over six hundred shells to collect; with colourful beach huts, it is a safe swimming beach, popular with families. The Solent Reach coast path starts from here and spans the length of the Keyhaven Nature Reserve, perfect for exploring, follow the cliff tops admiring views of The Solent and Isle of Wight as well as Hurst Castle, the local golf course at Barton-on-Sea is on the top of the cliff top. For motor bike enthusiasts, visit the Sammy Miller Motor Museum or Beaulieu car museum in nearby Brocklehurst.

For train lovers, visit Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway, and for little ones, Paultons Park home of Peppa Pig.
Why not catch the ferry from Lymington to the Isle of wight for a day trip, it takes about 30 mins which would allow you most of the day to explore the island. Lymington is another market town, 15 minutes away, and Lepe beach is sandy with some shingle; it has narrow streets filled with period cottages and houses as well as a selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, and on a Saturday, they have a local market well worth visiting. After a busy day, head back and snuggle up around the wood burner, with a hot drink or laze outside in the garden, watching the spectacular sunsets and plan you next day’s adventure. Beach 2½ miles
