Hunters Lodge is a one bedroom property styled as a Swiss alpine retreat, and has been stylishly furnished with everything a guest could need for their stay. The open plan living space has a 50" Smart TV with Netflix, a dining table with four chairs and a fully equipped kitchen. with an oven.
Outside the lodge is an enclosed gravelled garden area with seating and a gas barbecue, perfect for dining al fresco on sunny days. Guests are welcome to interact with the animals on site, which include horses, goats, chickens, chicks (depending on the time of year), geese, rabbits and cats.
The lodge is only 3 miles away from Torquay with its palm-lined promenades, shops, restaurants, pubs, cafés and vibrant nightlife. There are several beaches accessible from Torquay town centre by foot and road, as well as its harbour and marina.
Visit nearby Dartmoor National Park with it’s rugged and stunning scenery. You can see the ponies, walk the Tors or simply stop off in one of the many villages for a Devon cream tea.
Paignton, Torquay and Brixham are also great places to visit, as are Exeter and Plymouth, both within a 30-minute drive.
There are many National Trust properties in the area, including Agatha Christie’s summer home ’Greenway’, well worth a visit.
For the children, there is Crealy Adventure Park or Go Ape in Haldon. If you are bringing a bicycle, there are many cycle ways off road to be explored, including Powderham Castle where there is a cycle track all along the estuary.
There is also no shortage of day-trip destinations including the Living Coasts Zoo, Round Robin Bus Trip, Paignton Zoo, Woodlands Adventure Park, Babbacombe Model Village and Kents Cavern.
