Scenic walks can be enjoyed from the door, and Holt Heath Nature Reserve is close by – a great place to observe wildlife.

The historic town of Wimborne Minster is 5 miles away, only a 15 minute drive. There is much to do in this popular area, and many beaches can be found along the Jurassic Coast (a World Heritage Site), including those at Durdle Door, Bournemouth, Sandbanks, Christchurch and The Purbecks. Poole Harbour, Winchester and Salisbury are all within a 40-minute drive, and other places to visit include Moors Valley and Avon Heath, which are ideal for keen amblers.

Take a trip to Beaulieu Motor Museum, the New Forest Wildlife Park, maritime Southampton, The Tank Museum at Bovington, and Stonehenge. The New Forest National Park is within easy driving distance and has miles of scenic walks and a network of bridle paths and footpaths, and you can often find ponies and cattle roaming the streets in one of the many picturesque villages.
