The Snug at Delamere House is a modern annexe looking out onto its own private enclosed garden, bursting with colours in the spring and summer when the flowers bloom. There is a patio with a seating area so that you can enjoy the sunshine during your stay. The property set all on the ground floor, with designated off road parking on the driveway. Enter through the double glass doors which open in from the garden, bathing the living room in light. The living space is open planned, with a compact kitchen, a drop-leaf dining table as well as comfortable seating. There is a master double bedroom leading off the living room, and from the kitchen there is a hallway leading to the shower room and a twin bedroom. This property is the perfect choice for couples as well as families.
You are just a short stroll away from Scagglethorpe’s warm and welcoming village pub, the true heart of the village.

There is also a nearby play park for young children. There is a wide choice of places to visit nearby, with something for everyone. For history buffs Eden Camp is just 5-minutes away, a prisoner of war camp now transformed into a fascinating World War II museum. The stately home of Castle Howard is a short drive from the cottage, holding events throughout the year including the summer proms. Spend a day exploring the house and before sampling some of the cakes on offer from one of the tea rooms. The Christmas experience is also one of the very best in the country. There are other stately homes within a short distance of the property, including Duncombe Park and Nunnington Hall. Don’t forget the stunning gardens at Helmsley too.
This area is a fantastic base for both cyclists and walkers, with a large network of footpaths and country lanes.

The famous market towns of Malton and Helmsley are within a few minutes’ drive and offer market days around their cobbled squares as well as a great array of shops, cafés and restaurants. Thornton-le-Dale is a picture perfect little village built around a little stream, ideal for a memorable day out. Less than 10 miles away is Pickering, nestled on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, where you can ride the heritage steam train across the beautiful moorland to the coastal town of Whitby. The ancient walled city of York with its beautiful minster and award winning-attractions is only a 30-minute drive away, while 30 minutes to the east takes you to beautiful Filey beach and its fabulous coastline. If you want a little excitement in your holiday, Flamingo Land theme park and zoo is close by. Beach 19 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 250 yard
