Ravenscar is part of the dramatic Yorkshire coastline with spectacular coastal views, rocky coves and home to a large seal colony on the pristine, peaceful beach. You are between the popular seaside towns of Whitby and Scarborough, away from the bustling crowds in a relatively undiscovered destination. This grand property is sure to delight, it is a fabulous size for families as well as groups of friends looking for somewhere special. Boasting seven bed rooms in total each with its own TV as well as en-suite shower rooms.
On arrival you have a large gravelled driveway for your cars just beside the property. There is a patio to the front, with picnic benches for everyone, so you can all take in the views together. On a clear day you can see all the way down the coast to the white cliffs of Flamborough. Here you can watch the sunset whilst toasting to a fabulous holiday with your favourite tipple. From the patio you have glass doors leading into the bright and welcoming open plan dining area with dining table and seating for up to fourteen guests, and a beautiful modern kitchen.
Enjoy home cooked meals, where you can all mingle together as there is plenty of seating, this is a wonderful social space. The living room has a cosy homely feel, with soft leather sofas around the feature fireplace. Up on the first floor you have six bedrooms, four doubles, a single and a family room which has both a double and a single. Then up on the second floor you have a twin bed room under the eaves. This property has super-fast Wi-Fi, so for anyone who wishes to check emails, stream movies or video call friends you will find the Wi-Fi speed competes with most big cities.
A haven for walkers from here you can join the Cleveland way as well as the Cinder Track from the cliff top, which takes you through some incredibly scenic villages and bays. You will be delighted by the variety of scenery that you will encounter, from the golden sands of some of Britain’s finest beaches along with towering cliffs and roaring waves. Get the English seaside experience by visiting the coastal towns of Whitby and Robin Hoods’ Bay or roam the miles of ancient forests, the infinity of pink and purple heather stretching as far as the eye can see over the hills and through the valleys and dales, the rugged coastline with the vast blue sea below and the wheeling seagulls above.
Whitby is just a 25-minute drive away, this seafaring coastal town has so much history. It has winding cobbled roads and hidden yards, boats bobbing along the harbour, a long stretch of beach stretching to the aptly named Sandsend all overlooked by the iconic Abbey. Discover the tales of smugglers, pirates, pioneers, vikings and even Dracula!
For lovers of wildlife plan a visit to the Sealife centre in Scarborough to get up close to rescued seals, or see the gannets, guillemots and puffins at the nature reserve at Bempton Cliff. For children Flamingo Land theme park and zoo is around an hour away, or in Scarborough you have Alpamare Water Park with a Spa for the grown-ups, as well as Dalby Forest which has tree top zip-lining.
