Extra Amenities

The Pamper Lodge is the perfect couples retreat, where the hexagonal sun room with wood burner is a romantic setting in itself. With Whitby just 5 minutes away, and the National Parks on your doorstep, there’s plenty to explore. This wonderful property is situated in the village of Sleights, on the outskirts of Whitby. Outside, the garden offers a decked sitting-out area, which is perfect for al fresco dining in the warm summer months.
Sleights is a picturesque village located on the River Esk which has its own train station, ideal for getting around the local area. The Pamper Lodge is situated amongst stunning grounds with many local walks to enjoy right from the doorstep, or why not try a spot of fishing down by the river.

Whitby, just a short drive away, is steeped in history and offers many events and festivals throughout the year, from the bi-annual Goth Weekender to the Whitby Regatta. You’ll also find many shops, bars and restaurants, as well as an award-winning fish and chip shop. The old part of town is great for exploring, with its cobbled streets, many goth shops, bazaars and jewellery shops, famous for using the Whitby jet stone. While exploring you’ll find the 199 steps that lead up to Whitby Abbey and the church of St Marys, which were made famous by the novel ’Dracula’. Whitby has a golden sandy beach that stretches along the Yorkshire Heritage Coast, as well as a marina where you can charter your own boat or join a trip out to sea to do a spot of whale watching.

Away from the coast you’ll find the North York Moors, where you can experience a landscape with stunning moorland, ancient abbeys, and picturesque villages, along with waterfalls and countryside walks in abundance.
Further afield you can visit the Victorian seaside resort of Scarborough and keep an eye out for any top music events at the open air theatre, or take a trip to York and stroll through the walled city. Travel back in time at Eden Camp near Pickering or experience the thrills of Flamingoland. Beach 3 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ mile
