Potters Cottage1 comfortable bed, Sleeps 5.

A restored Hoxne countryside retreat with a wood burner, enclosed courtyard, woodland walks and off-road parking for two cars.

No smoking. Please note: This property has a £150 Security Deposit.

In the Suffolk village of Hoxne, within the tranquil Waveney Valley, this restored countryside retreat provides a peaceful stay for couples or families. Once a garden outbuilding beside the main house’s walled garden, it has been thoughtfully brought back to life with light-filled interiors and a calm, welcoming feel. It is a lovely base for guests who enjoy nature, village life and unhurried days exploring rural Suffolk. Children over three are welcome. The peaceful setting works well for slow mornings, board games by the fire and gentle days outdoors.

The living area is generous and comfortable, with inviting seating and a wood burner for cosy evenings after a walk. For quieter moments indoors, there is a Smart TV together with books, games and puzzles. The kitchen and dining space is arranged for relaxed self-catering, with church pew seating adding character at mealtimes. There are two bedrooms: a super king-size main room with en-suite shower room, and a second bedroom arranged with one double and one full-size single bed. A family bathroom with bath and shower over completes the accommodation.

Outside, the private enclosed courtyard garden has seating for four, ideal for morning coffee or supper in the open air. Guests can also enjoy the wider grounds, including woodland paths and a summerhouse overlooking the trees. Off-road parking for two cars is provided, and the owners also use the front garden and driveway. From Hoxne, explore Waveney Valley walks, cycling routes, market towns and welcoming village pubs, then return to a quiet countryside setting where the courtyard and wood burner make every season feel inviting.
