If you can tear yourself away, you can head east or west from here to discover pretty coastal towns and villages with a host of different coastal habitats including sand and shingle beaches, marshes and quays. The Thursford Collection, with its much celebrated Thursford Christmas Spectacular is also nearby.
Travel just a little further and explore the Norfolk Broads, either on a day launch or on an organised tour. Or, for a change of pace, head into the medieval city of Norwich with its splendid Norman Castle and numerous museums, galleries and attractions. Add in National Trust sites and stately homes such as The Blickling Estate and Holkham Hall and you will see that there really is something for everyone in this part of Norfolk. Fakenham is just 4 miles away with four supermarkets, cinema, flea market and an auction on Thursdays. Golf is available locally and there is horse racing at Pudding Norton, near Fakenham.
