Basket Makers Cottage is a charming, Grade II listed cottage dating back to the 1500s, located in the heart of Henley-on-Thames. Full of character and warmth, this cosy retreat is ideal for a family of three.

Ground Floor:
Living room: With open fire and Smart TV.
Kitchen: With electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Conservatory.
First Floor:
Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed.
Bedroom 2: With single bed.
Bathroom: With bath, shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail.

Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for open fire included. Back garden with patio sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.

Upon entering Basket Makers Cottage, you’re welcomed by a living area with exposed timbers, quarry-tiled floors, and a large Inglenook fireplace with a wood-burning stove with an ornamental bread oven, perfect for those colder evenings. The kitchen has everything needed for a nice meal and opens to a heated conservatory with French doors leading to a private grotto garden. Upstairs, the main bedroom features a vaulted ceiling, a king-size bed, and exposed timbers, while a second bedroom with a single bed is ideal for a child. The family bathroom has a shower.
The beautifully landscaped, south-facing garden includes a York stone terrace, flower beds, and a gravel path to parking for one small car. After a restful start to your day, enjoy a relaxed walk down Gravel Hill into town, just a 5-minute stroll away.

There, you’ll find a charming array of cafes, pubs, restaurants, and boutique shops. Continue your exploration by heading to the river for a delightful walk alongside river barges, parks, and picturesque views. Don’t miss the ‘River and Rowing Museum’ located right on the River Walk. From there, proceed to Marsh Lock at the Weir to observe the fascinating process of boats navigating the Thames.
