Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included.

Courtyard with sitting-out area, garden furniture and BBQ. 4-acre natural grounds (shared with owner). Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: Sorry, no hen or stag parties. There are 12 steps in the courtyard and an unfenced pond beside the driveway.

Courtyard Cottage at Dam Hall Barn is a delightful semi-detached stone built cottage that has been lovingly restored over time, and is full of warmth, character and charm. Set around a pretty cobbled courtyard next to the friendly owner’s home, it can be found at the end of a private drive in the peaceful village of Peak Forest, in the heart of the Peak District National Park. To the rear of the property is a private sitting-out area offering superb, far-reaching countryside views, and for those outdoor enthusiasts, access to acres of grounds.


Surrounded by excellent walking country you’ll find ample lanes, bridleways and paths perfect for cycling and walking. A 10-minute stroll will take you directly to a local pub serving food, and Eldon Hole, one of the seven wonders of the Peak District, is just over a mile away. The large village of Tideswell with ample amenities can be reached in around a 5-minute drive, and the pretty village of Edale, which is also home to the start/end of the long distance Pennine Way footpath, is around a 15-minute drive.

The beautiful honeypot village of Castleton can also be reached in around 15 minutes, as can the fascinating plague village of Eyam. The larger towns of both Buxton and Bakewell are just 20 minutes away making this a wonderful central base. Shop 4¼ miles, pub and restaurant 175 yards
