Bowness is well known for two things, its access to the waterfront with the Piers of Windermere Lake steamers, which offer pleasure cruises up and down the length of the lake, and secondly, it’s plethora of shops, restaurants, pubs, and of course it’s wonderful atmosphere! Bowness is central for exploring the Lake District and has good public transport links to all parts of the National Park.
