Welcome to Quarry Cottage, a charming and luxurious countryside retreat nestled on the edge of Barnoldswick. This delightful two-bedroom cottage comfortably accommodates up to three guests and is perfect for those seeking peace, comfort, and a touch of rural charm.
Thoughtfully furnished throughout, the cottage features a stylish four-piece bathroom suite with a full-size bath and a separate shower—ideal for unwinding after a day exploring the countryside. The living room is warm and inviting, boasting a wood burner, plush seating, and a cosy atmosphere for relaxing evenings in. An open-plan corner dining area provides a lovely space for meals shared with family or friends. The separate, character-filled kitchen is well equipped and leads out to a fully enclosed garden, offering both privacy and a safe space for pets. Outside, guests can enjoy patio areas to both the front and rear of the property, perfect for morning coffees or evening drinks, as well as allocated parking. The cottage is pet-friendly; however, we kindly ask that dogs are kept on a lead at the front of the house due to nearby livestock and a public footpath.

Quarry Cottage is a true countryside haven, offering tranquillity, comfort, and a warm welcome all year round.
Situated in the heart of Lancashire, Barnoldswick—affectionately known as “Barlick” by locals—provides an excellent base for exploring both the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland, two stunning Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This historic market town is full of character, with cobbled streets, independent shops, traditional pubs, and friendly cafés. For walkers and nature lovers, the options are endless. The Leeds and Liverpool Canal runs through the town, offering scenic, flat walks suitable for all ages and abilities. Follow the towpath to Salterforth and Foulridge and enjoy peaceful waterside views, local wildlife, and passing canal boats. Right from the front door, a public footpath leads up to Weets Hill, a more challenging walk that rewards you with panoramic views across Pendle Hill and the Yorkshire Dales.

Barnoldswick is rich in heritage, having once been a hub of the cotton industry. Today, it retains a strong sense of community and local culture. A visit to the Bancroft Mill Engine Museum offers a fascinating insight into the town’s industrial past. For day trips, you’re ideally located. Skipton, the “Gateway to the Dales”, is just 15 minutes away and offers a bustling high street, canal cruises, and an impressive medieval castle. Alternatively, explore the Forest of Bowland with its picturesque villages, wildlife trails, and excellent cycling routes. After a day of adventure, return to your peaceful retreat to relax by the fire or enjoy a drink under the stars in your private garden.
Whether you’re walking, sightseeing, or simply embracing a slower pace of life, Barnoldswick offers the perfect balance of activity and tranquillity.
