In an enviable position above the ever-popular village of Coniston, Thurston View sits in a row of terraced former quarry workers’ cottages and enjoys stunning views over Coniston Water. The lake is within walking distance, and is the ideal place for canoeing, sailing or simply for paddling about in quiet waters. There are numerous walking routes in the area, suited to all abilities, which can be enjoyed right from the door.
Coniston has a good selection of local shops for all your daily needs as well as ample opportunities for eating and drinking.
This lovely cottage is presented as a cosy, comfortable holiday home, lovingly furnished and with two comfortable double bedrooms. Thurston View has been subject to a thorough but sympathetic renovation, resulting in a comfortable layout. The living room features a cosy gas fireplace, making it the perfect spot for unwinding after a busy day of exploring.
The kitchen/dining room is well-equipped, and the utility room houses both a washing machine and a tumble dryer, so you can rinse off muddy clothes ready for the next day ahead. Outside and just across the lane is an enclosed patio with garden furniture, so on sunny days you can take your meal outside and dine al fresco. Shop 520 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
