This 1930’s grade II listed garage really has the wow factor, and this is much more than a home in which to spend a vacation, it’s more about the experience in staying in such an amazing property.
Dating back to 1934, this was still operating as a garage until 1973. The amazing vintage pumps still survive and light up at night just to add to the building’s charisma. This is a building with impact and one that really stops you in your tracks and the restoration work is nothing short of stunning. Inside the apartment you have the luxury of underfloor heating and an extremely well equipped kitchen with loads of space and everything you need for your stay. The period features haven’t been forgotten as the apartment is wrapped in sunshine bay windows and spectacular curved walls.
The owner has been thoughtful enough to have left some air conditioning units for those hot summer evenings so you can be sure that the temperature will be comfortable for sleeping. There is also a gas outdoor barbecue for long summer evenings spent barbecuing and enjoying a nice glass of wine.
The main bedroom as you walk in on your left comes with its own en-suite; both bathrooms have Villeroy & Boch ceramics and appliances to give an opulent personal well being oasis. To the right you will find the second bathroom and bedroom which sits inside the art deco curved sunshine bay window. The main reception room encompasses the dining room, kitchen and the living room which makes it a great family space or an area for you enjoy your evening after exploring the nearby beach.
The property is just a 5-minute walk from the beach and with a plethora of eateries and pubs on your doorstep there is plenty to do and see. With the train station just a 20-minute walk away, you could always choose to travel east along the coast into cosmopolitan Brighton or west to see all the arts and culture that Chichester has to offer with Goodwood and Arundel just a short drive further north. This really is a central hub to stay for a fantastic staycation to enjoy all that Sussex has to offer and a rare opportunity to stay in an Art Deco property in which you will make some amazing memorie
