The Tithe Barn, built in 1602, has character, charm, and has been decorated and furnished for today’s living. Comprising a lovely contemporary kitchen, with Rayburn and electric hob and oven, pine flooring and central island, and three spacious bedrooms, one with Juliet balcony. Guests have use of a full hard tennis court, by prior arrangement only, and have a lovely private enclosed garden with table and chairs, ideal for al fresco dining.
The Tithe Barn is 10 minutes from the city of Exeter, the University Exeter Campus, and the world famous 13th-century catherdral. Tithe Barn is ideal for visiting Killerton House, which has a glorious landscaped garden which is surrounded by parkland, a fine 18th-century house with renowned historical fashion collections, with wide open parkland, a garden full of trees from around the globe and classic woodland.
Try the 6 walks around the estate, where you might even spot some deer grazing. There are also many rural walks around Huxham without the need to get into your car.
With Dartmoor within easy reach, the popular south coast nearby and the rural countryside of East Devon on the doorstep, The Tithe Barn makes an ideal base for exploring some of Devon’s finest scenery.
