Selby with its beautiful abbey, the market town of Howden, the M62 motorway and A1 are all easily accessible. Within a 1 hour drive, guests can visit Beverley, Leeds and the Royal Armouries, and Hull with its futuristic aquarium and many cultural opportunities, as it has been selected as City of Culture 2017. Visit the magnificent North York Moors with its steam railway, offering a stunning scenic journey through Heartbeat Country. The sweeping gravelled driveway leads to Willow Lodge where there is plenty of space for parking, and the free Wi-Fi allows residents to stay in touch with work, family and friends should they wish to.
Also available for resident’s private use, at times agreed with the owner upon arrival (private swimming lessons are held daily), is a delightful 10m x 5m indoor heated swimming pool, which is generally maintained to a lovely temperature of 30°c. The sauna, with the option to add eucalyptus oils, shower and changing facilities allows residents to relax in private spa facilities. The double bedroom has a wardrobe with ample storage, a hairdryer, premier Dorma bed linen and fluffy Egyptian cotton towels and separate towels for the swimming pool. A pull-out bed with all linen and towels can be provided upon request for a child 12 years or under. The conservatory/dining room leads outside to a substantial decked terrace and patio area with shared outside seating. There are wonderful views over extensive landscaped rear gardens, a Japanese garden and the fields beyond.
