This beautiful barn conversion, situated in its own private grounds, offers excellent accommodation for a couple or small group of friends.

Kitchen/dining room: With electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, 32’’ Smart TV and wooden floor.
Utility room: With washing machine.
Sun room: With seating and vaulted ceiling.
Separate toilet.
First Floor:
Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed.
Bedroom 2: With twin beds.
Shower room: With shower cubicle, toilet, heated towel rail and Velux window.

Oil underfloor central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Welcome pack. Lawned garden with patio and garden furniture. Private parking for 4 cars. No smoking.

Extra Amenities

Pasture View is a detached, old stone converted farmer’s workshop located approximately 2 miles from the historic market town of Barnard Castle. This cottage offers splendid views over open countryside and the hills beyond and includes a generous outside area. It has been refurbished to a very good standard offering spacious, luxury accommodation.

Guests enter the property through the large feature sun porch. This is a lovely relaxing space to sit and read or enjoy the dark skies and stars in the evening. Opening up into a welcoming light open plan dining and kitchen area, providing a great social space to sit around the table and chat while the designated cook rustles up the food. There is a wall mounted smart TV for extra entertainment or streaming your music.

The stylish kitchen is superbly equipped with everything you will need for your stay. For cosy relaxing evenings, the tastefully decorated living room has a beautiful wood burner and comfortable sofas. It also has the benefit of double doors leading out onto the patio and garden. Upstairs comprises of a galleried landing giving access to the bedrooms and shower room.
Much of the furniture has been hand painted by your host to create an individual and unique style, and you can also find some of her original artwork on the walls.

Pasture View is the ideal location to explore the local area and beyond. Standing above the River Tees, Barnard Castle has many independent shops, cafés, restaurants, a weekly market as well as a monthly market.

It is also home to the magnificent Bowes Museum and the ruins of its castle. Walking, cycling or rambling are popular activities in the area as well as visiting some of the attractions that Teesdale has to offer. Directly behind the cottage is a lovely walk to Barnard Castle through fields, then along Deepdale River before reaching the River Tees. High Force waterfall is within easy reach as are Raby Castle and Deer Park, Tan Hill (highest pub in England), Hamsterley Forest and the market town of Richmond. A little further afield places of interest include the cathedral city of Durham, Yorkshire Dales or even the stunning Lake District. However, guests may wish to stay close to Pasture View so they can relax and unwind. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
