North Farm Bungalow is set in a large private garden with lovely views over the countryside. Located along a small, quiet lane, it is just off the little village centre and only a few minutes’ walk to the friendly village pub which serves food. With two good-size bedrooms, this detached bungalow is ideal for couples or a small family wishing to have a comfortable and homely base from which to explore this diverse and friendly county.
Keen walkers can make use of the private road and head over to Hadrian’s Wall directlyfrom the front door.
There are lots of short walks around too and the area is also great for cyclists. It is just a short walk to a bus stop where you can hop on a bus to Hexham or Newcastle. Whilst out discovering the surrounding countryside, drop into Hexham and stop off at the abbey which is home to an old Saxon crypt, or visit the Tuesday market set out on The Shambles, only 12 miles from the bungalow. The pretty village of Corbridge has lots of nice pubs and little shops and is only a few minutes’ drive away. The historic city of Newcastle is only 11 miles away and the main A1 and A69 are easily reached for travelling in all directions around this wonderful county which was voted the ’Best County to Holiday; in 2018 by the British Tourism Awards.
The Heritage Coast is close by where you can explore miles of sandy beaches and historic castles. The beautiful forest at Kielder, set in the Northumberland National Dark Sky Park, is easily reached from here by cutting across country through beautiful and diverse countryside. Beach 19½ miles. Shop 2¼ miles, pub/restaurant 300 yards
