Traditional family cottage with picnic tables in grounds, ideal for exploring the Scottish Borders and Kielder Forest both easily reached.

These charming holiday cottages (refs W43047, W43048, W43199 and W43200) are located close to the country village of Elsdon, nestled within the Northumberland National Park which is an AONB. Picnic tables are scattered amongst the pretty grounds for relaxing, whilst admiring the lovely views. Set in this tranquil, peaceful development, it is an ideal base for walkers, cyclists and touring in the unspoilt surrounding countryside. Guests are welcome to wander through the 20 acres of open farmland and woodland which belongs to the farm.

Elsdon is a quintessential Northumbrian village, a complete example of a medieval settlement in this stunning area which is overlooked by hills on all sides, amidst rolling moors and grasslands. Enjoy the many ways to experience the qualities of the National Park, sample local produce from a farmer’s market, walk in the footsteps of the Romans on a National Trail, climb the crags, cycle the byways or even join in with the music and dancing at a local show.

The market town of Rothbury is 13 miles and Otterburn is only 4 miles. The stunning Northumbrian coast and the must-see Hadrian’s Wall is less than an hour’s drive.
