This charming, detached cottage is perfect for a family holiday on the Isle of Wight and is able to accommodate up to four guests and the family pets. Little Dover Cottage has some wonderful character features inside including a beautiful, exposed stone wall which runs the length of the living/dining space. The vaulted ceiling in the upstairs bedrooms provides a lovely, light and spacious feel.
Wi-Fi enabled and well-equipped, this holiday home is located in the popular seaside town of Ryde with its host of shops, bars, restaurants and cafés. The stretches of sand at Ryde offer fantastic views across the Solent to Portsmouth, with the landmark Spinnaker Tower forming an impressive backdrop to a busy shipping channel which carries an interesting array of freight, passenger and military ships.
Along the nearby promenade, moments from the property, you will find tennis courts, ten-pin bowling, a fun fair, canoe lake and a swimming pool, providing plenty to do within the local area. You can also enjoy scenic coastal walks, go crabbing, sailing, fishing, horse riding, golf or even go-karting, all of which are easily accessible from the cottage.
The Isle of Wight offers numerous attractions to discover for all ages, including The Needles, with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay.
Visit Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence, Osborne House and its gardens, Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK, Ventnor Botanic Garden, Tapnell Farm Park, Carisbrooke Castle, the sailing towns of Yarmouth and Cowes, and Shanklin Chine, a beautiful, deep wooded gorge with waterfalls and paths leading to Shanklin beach.
