Sandown holiday accommodation on Isle of Wight

In Sandown those keen on shopping will find plenty of variety from a host of locally owned and managed art and craft shops, to the major multinational chains. There are plenty of pubs, cafés and restaurants to tempt you away from your holiday cottage kitchen. And if you do visit, bear in mind that Charles Darwin commenced his mammoth “Origin of Species”, Sir Isaac Pitman his shorthand system and Lewis Carroll spend his holidays there. The Dinosaur Isle geological museum and Sandham activity Gardens (bowls, crazy golf, skating, putting etc) are worthy of a visit, and the Isle of Wight Zoo is but a short distance to the north.
